This Service Came Out of my Own Necessity...y
My Name is Eric Haaranen
When I was a kid, I had a speech impediment. I couldn't pronounce my "R"s properly and I knew then that I'd never become a successful pirate.
I sort of got over that impediment but I've never been overly comfortable public speaking or recording my own videos. Way too many "umm"s and "ahhh"s that I don't even notice until I see a recording of myself.

It Only Got Worse with the Advent of Social Media
My discomfort in front of the camera became a major problem for me as social media became more popular. I was a good writer with tons of ideas and I knew the importance of personal branding and putting yourself out there.
I also recognized how powerful video had become in this age of immediate gratification and miniscule attention spans. Everything was moving away from the written word and towards video.
It was the perfect storm working AGAINST introverts like myself who communicated best through writing... or sometimes just simply grunting.
Then Along Came this Thing Called, "Artificial Intelligence"
What? I could just type out what I wanted to say and A.I. would generate a voice over for me? Granted, it wasn't perfect but man, I would save a fortune on paying to have voice overs recorded.
I was hooked from the get-go. I started learning about ChatGPT and text to image generators and I quickly realized that the future is here.
When I finally figured out how to turn images into cartoons and then have those cartoons say whatever I wrote, I felt I was on to something.
I had found a way of leveraging my skills as a writer with the power of video to share my knowledge in a way that got attention in a positive and unique manner.
When I started putting my videos out into the wild ie. the vicious land of social media and got (generally) positive feedback, DFY Clips was born and here we are.
